Hi Everyone,

This is Louie's Mom from Whippet Talk.  I had just changed my name to K9Lover after Louie passed away.  I'm so excited about this new board.  I hope to see some of the same people from WT on this board too.  Thanks Mike for starting this new board! :)

I am more of a reader, sometimes poster, but like to be in touch with the whippet community on rescue related isses mostly.

If we need a special section dedicated just to rescues, please let me know. I have one setup now but I would like for the folks who are actively involved in rescues to be able to moderate those sections of the page. Let me know your thoughts.

Hello Fellow/Former WhippetTalkers! fyi...I changed my name from Zorro's Mom to WhippyChick (but I'm still Zorro's mom...ha!). Mike, the site is great! I love the logo and all of the paw prints...great job!!! (PS I think you should sell t-shirts featuring the 5 whippets on the upper right corner of the home page...love that!)

Thanks all for the nice comments. My hope is that I see and hear more information on our Whippets and other dogs. My wife and I have an Italian Greyhound and a Whippet. We both love to hear others stories on these crazy animals we let live in our house. haha

Aha, so you will be able to answer questions about the differences between IGs and Whippets when someone is trying to decide which breed they will have as a pet. I have often thought it would be fun to have one of each breed.

Yes, I should be able to answer those questions.  8) They are very similar, but they do have some differences besides size. Fantastic dogs!  Love em both..

Mike,

I would love to know what you think about owning an IG verses owning a Whippet.  I would love to get another Whippet or an IG some day.  Of course it's much too soon as I'm still mourning Louie.
