Westminster Kennel Club show is coming up

The Westminster Kennel Club show will be televised on Feb. 13th and 14th. The USA station will show it from 8-9 pm on Mon., and then CNBC will show it from 9-11 pm. Tues. night, the rest of the show will be on the USA station from 8-11 pm. I love to watch it, and I hope I don't fall asleep. I have to get up at 4:30 am, so it is pretty hard to stay awake until 11:00 pm. You can always watch the videos, though, on the Westminster web site after the show is over. Sometimes you have to wait a few days, though, before you can get the videos to work, since there are so many people watching them.

Just have to stay awake for the hound section!   I love watching the beagles, whippets, greyhounds etc.   So lovely.

I always watch it.  Praying either a win for a greyhound, whippet, IG or Saluki. I am partial to sight hounds.

Well, a sighthound won last year - the Scottish Deer Hound. There is a black Cocker Spaniel named "Beckham" that is #1 dog in the nation that may win, but you nevery know. I am, of course, partial to the Hound group and the Terrier Group, as well as the IG in the Toy group.

I love the Deerhounds, and it was high time that one of them won.

I would like to see a Greyhound win, too. I have said it before, and I'll say it again - the smooth coated dogs don't win as often as the longer coated dogs. The grooming makes the longer haired dogs flashier, I guess. The smooth coated dogs have to be very good, though, because everything shows up on them - muscles, bone structure, and outline - nothing is hidden.

The whippet is the top whippet in the country and only got 3rd place. The stupid pekinese took 1st.   I now know the judges are
blinded by money and can not see beauty when it is right in front of them. I an NOT by the win. Idiots!!!!
 I would have also liked to see the dalmatian take 1st.
